This is the second of a series of informational articles about the Adventurers League program stores in the Colorado Springs, Colorado area.
Dale’z Kardz is not, at first glance, what you would think of as a store which participates in the D&D Adventurers League program; however, since 1993 and the release of Magic: The Gathering, card games (collectable or not) have been an increasingly visible part of the gaming industry.
Dale’z Kardz is an excellent example – while its primary focus is cards of all sorts, from Pokemon and Magic: The Gathering to media tie-in cards of all sorts to the more classic sports cards, Dale’z Kardz has it covered.
Getting a face-lift!
Dale’z has also been involved in Dungeons & Dragons gaming for years. Miniatures have always been a large part of D&D play, and Dale’z has been heavily involved in all sorts of miniature gaming; selling collectable unopened sets, single miniatures, and of course the current Dungeons & Dragons Attack Wing materials, Icons of the Realm, and more. They also stock a complete set of the 5th Edition books and materials.
They even have the Bahumat and Tiamat premium miniatures standing guard over the store!

The different types of D&D merchandise are located in different parts of the store – cards and single miniatures in one place, the Attack Wing sets just inside the front door, the books another location. Fortunately, the staff at Dale’z are both friendly and knowledgeable, and can swiftly assist you in finding the merchandise in which you’re interested.
5th Edition Merchandise
Adventurers League games are open, and played on Saturday afternoons beginning at 2PM, run by Ron Schwartz. There are no fees charged for the Adventurers League games (although Dale’z runs many card games and tournaments, which sometimes have entry fees). Dale’z sticks sodas (0.75 USD), and a variety of candy and frozen snacks such as mini-pizzas and burritos (for which they have an on-site snack oven). Nearby the shop are several venues, such as a liquor store for other sodas, and a European-style deli. Dale’z is also near the intersection of North Academy Blvd and Austin Bluffs, which offers a cornucopia of fast-food venues.
