The Growing of the D&D Adventurers League

We’re coming up on a year that the campaign admins have been working on the D&D Adventurers League. In that time we’ve pulled together the campaign from ideas spawned in emails and google hangouts. We’ve written, then played adventures, and have grown a great community as a result. In addition to the campaign admins and Wizards of the Coast employees, there have been others who have worked tirelessly to make this community thrive. Dungeon Masters work week in and week out of make fun games for everyone. Store and event organizers herd the DMs to make great events, the local coordinators help stores and events organize, find DMs, and much more. Helping to gather and guide the local coordinators are the Regional Coordinators (RCs).

RCs are responsible for huge swaths of the the US, half a country in Canada, and multiple countries across the larger regions. Regional Coordinators help stores and conventions get information to run D&D Adventurers League games, find DMs, and find players. They each manage regional Facebook and Google+ communities and are usually involved in other, more local groups as well. They manage their local coordinators and work on special projects for the campaign. They do all of this on a volunteer basis.

We think you should know your Regional Coordinator and thank them for their work in making the D&D Adventurers League great. You can find all of the Regional Coordinators on the RC page.

Special Thanks

In addition to the great work that all of the Regional Coordinators do, I’d like to point out four Regional Coordinators who regularly exceed our expectations with their level of involvement with the League, these RCs are Arthur Severance (US Far West), Cindy Moore (US North East), Frank Foulis (US Great Lakes), and Jon Lamkin (US Plains). Each of these RCs has taken on special projects and works doggedly online and offline to grow the league.

In addition to their usual duties, each of these RCs has been a great help in moderating and approving members of the D&D Adventurers League Facebook group of over 6,000 members, regularly participating in the Facebook group, commenting and giving advice to to players, store owners, and DMs alike. In addition to their public work they have each helped the League by participating heavily in league discussions, guiding Local Coordinators, and managing the Elemental Evil pregenerated character contest, and other projects for the campaign.

From the campaign, thank you Cindy, Arthur, Frank, and Jon!

If you see any of these folks at a game store or your local convention, please thank them for all their hard work!

Jon Lamkin

US Plains Regional Coordinator

I have been playing D&D now for 40 years (Since 1974). It has been a long and worthy journey. During that time I have been mostly a DM. During that time I have been in the Army. Been married twice (the second time truly a charm). Have a Son and a Step-Daughter. Thanks to my Son I have two grandchildren. I Love gaming and run 4 games a week, including D&D Adventurers League on Wed Nights here in Minnesota at The Source in the Twin Cities (Roseville).

Recently I was appointed the position of Regional Coordinator for the US Plains area for the Adventurer's League. I consider it both an honor and privilege.

Cindy

Cindy Moore

US North East Regional Coordinator

Cindy Moore has been an avid RPG player and referee since 1983 and began playing in and running living campaigns back in 2004, starting with Dave Arneson’s Blackmoor MMRPG. She has written and edited several D&D-related projects for small gaming companies over the years in addition to regularly running games as Gen Con, Origins, and several local gaming stores. She is the staff coordinator for all RPG organized play events at her hometown gaming convention, Queen City Con, where her knowledge of the Realms has earned her the title of “the one who used to date Elminster”. Recently, she has be given the status of Level 5 GM by Baldman Games. Also, she has been added to the AL Adventure writing team. Cindy lives just outside of Buffalo, NY, with her husband, their two sons, and a small, white, fluffy bundle of unconditional love.
